The household deduction
Cleaning work qualifies for the Finnish household deduction (kotitalousvähennys). The deduction is 35% of the labour share, with a €150 annual excess, up to €1,600 per person.
Spouses each get their own deduction, so a household has €3,200 of deduction room a year. A weekly three-hour clean is about €7,020 a year — well within a couple's combined cap.
After every visit you get a receipt with the labour share itemised. You claim the deduction in MyTax (OmaVero), or during the year with a revised tax card, so it shows at once as lower withholding.
An estimate, not a tax decision. Parliament is considering a proposal to raise the deduction to 40% and the cap to €2,100, backdated to 2026.
How long move-out and deep cleans typically take
One-off big cleans are priced at the one-off hourly rate (€55/h). Below is the typical length for an empty home (move-out) or a furnished one (deep clean). The actual time depends on the home's condition; we agree the length before the visit.

The price of an extra follows your visit's hourly rate. The prices above use the rate of a regular 2-hour visit (€47/h); on a longer regular visit they are lower, and on a one-off clean they follow the one-off rate.
Prices include VAT. Work done in your home qualifies for the household deduction; supplies are goods, not work, and appear on the receipt as a separate line.
